We'll stop. Here's how.

Email us to be removed

Or just reply REMOVE to whatever email brought you here. Either works. You do not need to explain, and we will not ask.

What happens next

  1. Within 24 hours we delete your name, institution, address, and everything else we held.
  2. We keep one thing: a one-way hash of your email address, so that if your name comes up again in a public database, our system recognises it and skips you.
  3. You hear nothing further. No confirmation campaign, no "are you sure", no win-back email.

If you would rather we not keep even the hash, say so in the same email and we will delete that too. The trade-off is that we then have no way to recognise you, and a future list built from public publication records could surface your name again.

Where your address came from

The corresponding-author line of a paper you published. We did not buy it, and it was not passed to us by anyone. The full explanation is on the privacy page.
